Most of our instruments are available for self-use reservation. More instruments will follow as they are mainstreamed for general operation. The instruments are available for reservation within normal working hours of 9 am to 5 pm. To reserve time for self-service use on our instruments and you have previously discussed your training and instrument use with Alex Schilling or Carrie Crot please use the provided scheduling utility. First-time users need to register a user account, and returning users can log in with their email address. Users can use only those instrument schedules for which they have proper training. Browse the calendar for schedules of available instruments, pick an available time that suits you, and reserve time with the instrument. Some instruments have mandatory minimum and maximum time reservation restrictions. Your scheduling request will be forwarded to the Main PIF office for confirmation. You can follow up about the reservation at proteomics at uic.edu. Please note: Please look carefully at the calendar to find appropriate times before you schedule a time. If you wish to remove a scheduled time less than 24 hours before the reservation please email proteomics at uic.edu with the request.
Billing for used time and user responsibilities Users are liable for the full time reserved. Please talk to Alex Schilling and Carrie Crot to clarify user responsibilities and liabilities regarding instrument use. Formal policies and procedures regarding instrument scheduling are currently being reviewed and all users will be notified of them as they take effect.
